The Company : Ligerienne de Granulés The company was created in 2007, by two PhD’s teacher from the engineering school of Saint-Etienne ENISE who were both concerned by the environmental issues. This is the reason why we decided to produce pellet only with sawdust residuals (from different kind s of trees), and beside the electrical energy used by the machines (which we wanted to produce later on), our energy will arise from the combustion of the biomass (wood or cereals). In order to strengthen our company we also decided to be certified ISO 9001/14001. The ISO 9001 certification is given by an independent company, and certifies that our company is capable of producing which is conform to all the quality standards used in his market and products. The ISO 14001 certification is an environnemental certification. It means than the company is capable of mastering the environmental impact of its activities, services or products in a way to sustainly improve them. This is an international certification and every country in the world knows its meaning. For a company such as ours, we think the ISO 14001 certification is absolutely the way to go if you want to go worldwide. An Ethic The company is what we call in France a Société Coopérative de Production, its status is a cooperative. This status is important for its creators; indeed, the cooperative movement put the worker at the core of the company’s decision scheme and values its work with annual bonuses directly linked with the company’s results. Enfin, œuvrant pour notre environnement, nous recherchons en permanence le moyen de réduire l’effet de notre activité sur ce dernier en cherchant à diminuer notre consommation énergétique, tant au niveau de notre production que de nos livraisons. We also try to our best to protect the environment all the time, with an R&D which seeks reduce the impact of our activity on the environment and reduce our consumption of fossil energies. |
